Here is my schedule. My work day is 7:45-2:45, with a 45 minutes duty-free lunch. Class time is 7:50-2:05, but students are allowed to come down to classrooms at 7:45. Audrey's preschool opens at 7:30, so I am always at school right at 7:45. But, I don't have to pick her up until 4:30, so I am usually at school late in the afternoons until then. Even though I try, I am not much of a morning person. This school year, I have been running in the mornings, which helps get me going for the day, but I have to admit that I haven't ran since fall break (that was 3 weeks ago! yikes!).
My daily schedule is the same on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. We have some special classes, but there are no specialist teachers, so I teach everything. One of my grade-level partners teaches her class and mine gymnastics on Fridays, which is so nice. In exchange, I write our quarterly planners that are turned in to our admin. Since we don't have any specialist teachers, we do not have any prep during the school day. I make copies at morning recess (I don't have duty since I am the PLC facilitator for K-2), but all teachers are on duty for that last recess.
On Wednesdays, our schedule is modified for a 1:15 dismissal. We have staff meetings, grade-level meetings, PLC meetings, and leadership team meetings on Wednesday.
To help me stay organized throughout the day, I use a small pocket chart.
Since I use a little pocket chart, the regular sized cards didn't fit when I wanted to double them up for lunch and recess. So, I made some shorter cards, too. Now they all fit!
I also didn't want to have 2 sets of cards for Wednesday times that are just a little bit off. Now I write in my times with a dry erase marker and only change it for Wednesday. It's actually a student job, so they all get to know our schedule really well by doing that.
I have been using these cards all year, but just got them finished and up on TpT for you. I also made a set all in black and white, for my friends who do not have access to color printing at school. All that ink costs a lot of money! So, you can print on colored card stock, or print on white and have the kids color them in!

Wow! I'm so jealous of all your prep time! My schedule is 8:35-2:30 with only 3 thirty minute preps a week. Other than that, my schedule looks similar to yours. :)

I feel like I don't get much prep time, actually, since it's at the end of the day. Our time is flex, so if you come in early, you can leave early. That makes it hard to plan with team members after school. But I'm glad I'm not the only one with a schedule like this! :)
DeleteI can't imagine not having any special teachers. We are fortunate to have Spanish and Music on Monday, Art on Tuesday, and Gym on Wednesday. I have a combination class of second and third graders. Luckily, you do have 45 minutes at lunch time. That would be nice. We eat with the kids, then take them out for recess.

DeleteI very much miss my specials!!! My old school district had librarians, computer lab assistants (who helped during computer lab time), music, and PE. Art has always been up to me, which is fun to fit in with content area projects. I feel like I have to become an expert on everything, though, since I teach everything! It's hard!

DeleteWow! No Specials teachers?! That would be interesting! We have 45 minutes of Specials each and every day and I get to drop my class off and get my copies done (well, when we don't have a meeting scheduled!) I'm also super jealous of your Wednesday planning time! That would be awesome! We do our PLCs and team meetings after school so that we don't take away from our morning planning period, but things always come up anyway!

We are in the beginning stages of PLCs and our agendas are set for us by the vice principal. It makes the meetings annoying since we don't actually get work done that we want to work on. Right now, it's a lot of talking and discussing and very little doing. It's nice that we get these meetings out of the way without having to stay late, but I can't wait until they are actually productive!
