I decided to take the plunge and work hard this year to become a Whole Brain Teaching Certified Teacher! I joined up with a summer book club over at
Whole Brain Teaching Book Club. To be certified, you need to produce several online writings that cover different aspects of WBT. This can be done either on the
WBT forums or on a blog. So, with the help of my amazing blog designing friend
Tessa, I created a new blog!
To celebrate my new blog and my leap into all things WBT, I'm having a giveaway! The awesome people over at MPM School Supplies generously donated TWO $25 give certificates for two lucky winners. To enter, use the rafflecopter below. Good luck!

I am on a growth plan this upcoming school year (2013-2014). I am changing schools as well as changing grade levels! I would love to spend $25 on classroom decorations...posters, borders, bulletin board sets, etc. I have decided to leave my classroom theme of "beach" behind at my old school and am looking forward to finding a new theme! Thank you so much for doing this!

Fluttering Through First Grade
First, thanks for the info on the WBT certification. I've been watching the videos and love so much of what I see. I think this would be a great goal for this summer for me, too. As to my wishlist, while I have 47 things stuck in the cart, I really want the 'book' rug for my kinder-class and the g.c. would make a nice dent in the total. Thank you!
ReplyDeleteI am in need of some rock star decorations for our new school theme. They have such cute borders and bulletin board sets for this theme. I could also use some fadeless paper! beth.shavelson@browardschools.com
ReplyDeleteI am in need of some new borders and letters to refresh my bulletin boards.
ReplyDeleteI'd love new word wall letters and dots on chocolate decorations! WBT is the best!
ReplyDeleteI need birthday crowns but I would like some snazzy bulletin board border. Thanks for the WBT insight!
ReplyDeleteI am changing grade levels this year from Kindergarten to 2nd grade. My Kindergarten theme was the "circus." This theme is too young for 2nd grade and I am looking to use the colorful owls that are popular now. This way I can still use some of my generic colorful items but only have to spend a little bit of $. If I won the gift certificates I would buy some of the owl boarders and theme items.
ReplyDeleteOops, should have been borders
DeleteI'd love to get all of the Frog Street Press sassy solids borders! They'd match my classroom perfectly!
ReplyDeleteAWESOME Nicole!! You, my friend, are amazing!! :)

ReplyDeleteMy WBT should arrive any day. I can't wait to catch up with you. I'm sure there will be lots of items suggested in the book that I'll be able to find at MPM. What I truly want is a 'gathering rug!' It would be a perfect spot to work together as we all learn WB strategies together.
